Elders

Ken Hunt

Elder

Ken was born on a Texas U.S. Air Force base in Amarillo when his father was based there prior to his father entering Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth and pastoring churches in south Texas and then in a new church plant in Madison, WI. Ken grew up in Madison and came to a saving faith in Christ in 2nd grade. He enjoyed high-school football playing half-back, and was chosen as a National Honor Society member and entered the University of Wisconsin with plans to earn a mechanical engineering degree before deciding to go straight into the technical careers of copy machines and then large commercial data storage and computers. Ken ended up moving to the Minnesota – Wisconsin area in 1993 as a technical hardware specialist for one of his company’s districts covering a 5-state area and retired in 2020. Ken’s passion is knowing God personally and in view of a plain reading of His Word. Seeing the church seeking to operate under the gentle framework of 1 Timothy 3 has been very encouraging.

Alex Metras

Teaching Pastor

Alex has served as teaching pastor at FBC since June 2025. He grew up in Minnesota with his three brothers and Christ-loving parents. He earned a History degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities before completing his Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS) in Kansas City, MO. Alex and his wife Dayelle have been married since 2019 and have three lively children. Alex enjoys spending time with his family, reading, studying history, hiking in God’s glorious creation, and exploring new coffee shops. It is his great joy to live out Hebrews 12:1-2 with the family of FBC.

“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
