First Baptist Church New Richmond exists to provide a place, a plan, and an opportunity to ascribe worth to God. I could not agree more with John Piper when it comes to the reason and purpose of our existence:
“Worship is what we were created for. This is the final end of all existence — the worship of God. God created the universe so it would display the worth of His glory. And He created us so that we would see this glory and reflect it by knowing and loving it — with all our heart and soul and mind and strength. The church needs to build a common vision of what worship is, and what she is gathering to do on Sunday morning, and scattering to do on Monday morning.” – John Piper
Piper, John. “Worship God.” Desiring God. November 9, 1997.
We are created for ascribing worth to our Creator, Redeemer God. And so, in time we learn, we practice, we grow in the experience of worshipping the Triune God.
Our purpose at First Baptist Church New Richmond is not to provide the most current Christian trends to draw people to an event. Instead, we work at focusing on authentic worship with all He has provided for us as worshipers. Our three fold mission as a church is to exalt God, edify believers, and evangelize unbelievers.
